Enrichment Programs
Each year we enter teams in the National Tournament of Minds (TOM) competition where teams are challenged to produce innovative solutions to a problem selected from a number of categories. This annual educational program held nationally culminates in an Australian final in the last weekend in October. Great performances by our teams in recent years have resulted in Honour Awards in various categories.
Choir
Separate junior and senior choirs rehearse each week. Our wonderful choirs are in high demand in our local community and have performed at Eastland, elderly citizens homes and even at a wedding.
Competitions
Students are given the opportunity to enter state and national competitions in Maths, English, Science and Writing. Teachers promote these and many students participate with enthusiasm.
Aerobics
Students in the senior school have the opportunity to become a member of the school aerobics team run by members of staff.
Piano, Violin. Drums and Wind Instruments
Sessional teachers offer individual tuition to students.
Camps & Excursions
A sequential camping program is in operation. The program provides children with the following opportunities:
- A sleep over at school in grade 2
- A two night camp in grade 3 & 4
- A four night camp for grades 5 & 6
The program aims to provide children with experiences in different environments and activities which aid social and physical development encouraging responsibility and independence.
Excursions are arranged for all children and are carefully planned so that they enhance and enrich the learning programs provided by the teacher.
