Integrated Curriculum
The Integrated Studies program at Antonio Park Primary School includes
the key learning areas of Studies of Society and the Environment,
Science, Technology and Health with aspects of the Arts. These subject
areas are all generally covered within the classroom in addition to
English and Maths. All classroom programs are set out in comprehensive
and dynamic units of work, two of which are completed each term at
every level. These units are strategically planned across the school so
that there is no duplication from year to year and a sharing of
resources between levels. Every unit of work has a particular key
learning area focus eg. The Level 3 Unit – Endangered Species has a
Science focus where as the Level 2 Unit – Shelters and Structures has a
Technology focus.
The Integrated Studies program is certainly an area where a lot of enthusiasm and interest is generated with the children. Incursions, excursions and camps are generally aligned with the integrated studies units.
