Grade 4 Polly Woodside Excursion

As part of their Australian History unit, 'First Contacts', our Grade 4 students had a very authentic provocation to explore what life would have been like for early European explorers and life on the First Fleet! 

They got to experience life from a sailor's perspective by scrubbing the deck, steering Polly's massive helm, using the bell to signal the crew, and consider ways they'd need to keep their crew healthy while living at sea!
