At Antonio Park Primary School, we place a high priority on Physical Education, recognising its vital role in supporting the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of our students. Our comprehensive Physical Education program focuses on skill development, encouraging students to build fundamental motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a supportive and inclusive environment. We are committed to fostering a lifelong love of physical activity by ensuring that lessons are engaging, fun, and accessible for all students. Through a wide variety of activities, from fitness and fundamental movement to team sports and games, students are given opportunities to challenge themselves, collaborate with others, and celebrate personal and team achievements. Involvement and participation are at the heart of our program, with all students encouraged to take part, improve their skills, and enjoy the many benefits of an active lifestyle.
Swimming programs are offered to children from Foundation to Year 6. All children are encouraged to attend these programs. Qualified instructors are employed and class sizes are limited. Parents meet the cost of their child's involvement in the program.
Students have the opportunity to participate in school, district, Regional and State Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country events. In recent years our school has achieved great success with several students and teams reaching state level.
All students in Grades 5 & 6 participate in interschool sport, which is organised as gala days twice in Term 1, and twice in Term 2. Sports include Volley-bounce, Softcrosse, Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, T-ball, Football, Touch Football, Netball, Soccer and Softball. Antonio Park has a strong reputation for playing competitive sports, being incredibly respectful of officials and other players and having a great time representing our school. We regularly receive positive feedback from other schools and members of the community.
