The Fathering Project, a national initiative in Australia aimed at improving children's lives by inspiring and equipping fathers and father figures to be more engaged in the lives of their own kids, is an important part of the Antonio Park community. There is one event every term and activities range from Slip-n-Slides, Art nights, Games, Movies, Sausage Sizzles and so much more.

These are wonderful opportunities for fathers and father figures in our community to come together and to spend valuable time with their kids creating terrific memories through shared experiences.

In 2024, APPS dads took on Mitcham PS dads in the inaugral Fathering Project Footy Match, dubbed The Mitcham Cup, at night at Walker Park. There was a fantasic vibe at the match with over 500 people coming along to cheer and support - such is the APPS community spirit! The Mitcham Cup will be even bigger in 2025!
