The Indonesian language is a focus area in the curriculum at Antonio Park Primary School. All students from Grade 1 to Grade 6 have Indonesian once a week, which covers both Cultural Awareness components and the Indonesian Language curriculum.

The aims of the language program include: 

• To develop communication skills.  
• Development of literacy skills in their first and additional languages.  
• Building Intercultural Capabilities.  
• Enhancing understanding of, and respect for, diversity and difference, and openness to different experiences and perspectives. 
• Developing understanding and appreciation of how culture shapes worldviews, and extends students' understanding of themselves, and their own heritage, values, culture and identity.  
• Fostering of critical and creative thinking.

As part of the Indonesian language program, students will be provided with the opportunity to participate in the Indonesian language competition each year to showcase their oral language skills.
